One of the fun things about the landscaping business is that you never know who — or where — your next new client will be.
Earlier this year, we received an inquiry from a luxury hotel on San Francisco’s storied Nob Hill. They needed help with the entry landscape and a few indoor spots, and they were under tight deadlines for their re-opening ceremony. We accepted the challenge!
Conditions were crazy at the job site, with cable cars flying by and construction and delivery crews jostling for space, but we were able to slip in and get the job done.
Tree Sculpture, our sister company, started the makeover by pruning the neglected trees and carefully removing the failing vines from the brick wall, built in 1922.
Next, Terra replaced the boxwood hedges along the sidewalk, pairing them with creeping vines and flowering shrubs.
The designers wanted to group elegant pots around the entries, so we helped them procure large terracotta planters made in the French commune of Anduze. Then we planted them with shade-tolerant ferns and perennials. They turned out well!
